It seems that the Kentucky Dept. of Parks and the South Kentucky RECC have
both gotten smart and given some new experts the job of updating their web
sites. As a result the RECC now has nothing of interest on their site and the
Parks Dept. no longer has a virtual tour of Kentucky parks. So I have had to
remove some very good links from my web pages. Just so you will know what you
are missing, below are the links removed.
If you, like me, miss these links, I suggest that you complain to these
entities. Don't, like one of our web visitors, complain to me that I wasted
your time with dead links. I removed them as soon as I realized they were dead.

We have removed the music from this web site until we can check on copyrights
to prevent possible copyright infringement. We appreciate all our web vistors
who have enjoyed this music and especially those who have bought CDs due to
being exposed to music here. We will restore some of the music when we find
time to check closely on copyrights or when copyright holders realize that
they can make more money when music is publicized on the internet than by
trying to prevent its being available.

J. Gary Woodward from Lansing,
Kansas sent us three Microsoft word documents about his research on the
Bristow Family. They are available here for you to download. I am sure Gary
would appreciate any comments you would send him. There is more information
about Gary on our visitors page. Also
his comments on his work are on our genealogy
email page.

If this shows up on the Internet Saturday morning then we must have made it to
a new millenium with the internet and computer systems working. I guess it
will also mean that the world didn't end just because we decided to number a
year with a number that included 3 zeroes.
Let us march boldly into this new and unknown time expecting the best for
this earth and all its inhabitants. But let us remember that, although the
second millenium was marked by improvement in the human condition, progress
was uneven with many backsteps and times when we almost lost it and that the
first millenium was a time of cultural losses. So we must realize that
nowhere is it written that progress is inevitable but instead depends on
the collective wisdom and efforts of all.
